Mountain Goat

Now that she has figured out how to do it; all Avery wants to do is climb climb climb! She has also just started standing alone and she sprouted her second tooth today! What a big girl she's getting to be.

Cousins!!!

Our cousins came to visit us and it was so much fun!
Jordyn and Camryn really had a great time playing together and we were all so excited to meet baby Conner. It was a great weekend.

Jordyn & Camryn

Avery (10 months), Jordyn(2 1/2), Camryn(3 1/2) & Conner(almost 1 month)

Funny Girl

This girl has been so funny lately - she was jumping on the bed and hit her head on the railing - when she stopped crying she told her daddy, "I bumped my two-head."
She loves to play with her new hula hoop which she calls her 'willy-hoop' and she really likes to eat 'wally-pops'.
The other night we had 'toe-food' (tofu) for dinner.
What a cutie pie!

Spring has sprung! At last.

Today we spent the morning at Chaffee park, wearing shorts and sun hats, which wouldn't be at all remarkable if it hadn't snowed a foot just 4 days ago. We were really happy to play outside - I think spring is finally here.
Jordyn made sand cupcakes! Yum! Avery tried very hard to smash them all which really made Jordyn furious - ahhh the joy of having a little sister.
Everyone loves to swing and it's especially fun if you can do it together.

Tee Hee ~ this is great!

Push me higher!!!

I didn't plan for this picture to have the word 'warning' right under Jordyn's chin (I guess it was printed on the swing - maybe I should read it sometime and see what we are being warned about) - I'd love to say that it was totally on purpose because it's totally apropos, but it was just dumb luck.

I can't stop myself from taking pictures of this kid when she eats - she is so cute, she's already a foody and really enjoys her food!

A potty party!

It rained and snowed all weekend here in Denver 1-3 feet of wet, heavy, snow was predicted, we got about 6" of snow mixed w/ lots of rain (this is what we Coloradans know as spring) - the weather was awful so we were inside all day everyday. This was not bad though because Jordyn was potty training and Pakko was here visiting and I'd have to say that despite the weather fun was had by all.

Avery sporting a 'Mac & Cheesey' grin.
This kid can eat more macaroni and cheese then many grown men I know - she loves it!

While I was busy working on potty training Jordyn, Avery spent much of her time working on stair climbing - (her most recent favorite thing) - with Pakko who came to play with us this weekend.

Here's our big girl sporting her underpants (along with her favorite tie dyed t-shirt & crocheted rainbow bonnet & stripey socks . . .ugh - she has a definite opinion about fashion) drinking her juice box to stay well hydrated and in so doing having many opportunities to practice her potty prowess. Could she be any cuter!?

Big girls don't need diapers anymore, so Jordyn threw them all away - I saved them for Avery of course, but she doesn't need to know that! I am amazed at how well Jordyn has done. She goes potty on the toilet everytime - and has even awoken dry from 2 naps in a row. We are still working on the night time - but she's doing great for only 3 days out of diapers! I am about the proudest mama ever! What a big girl I have - keep up the good work J!

Glamorous!

Posing in our sunglasses. Ready for the pool.

Blurry but so sweet - Jordyn was sitting in the rocking chair nursing her bear-bear and I had to have a picture - what a good Mommy she is.

Avery's fabulous faux-hawk

Not too thrilled with the hair bow. . .

Happy Easter!

Easter Morning!

Coloring Easter eggs. What a fun way to make a mess - you are all invited over for egg salad this week. What else can you do with hard boiled eggs???

Look at all the eggs we found!

A long week at home

Avery will no longer eat baby food - it's totally beneath her. She much prefers foods she can hold, squish and then smear into her mouth and all over her face, this was avacado. She has also discovered a great passion for buttered toast. yummy! Don't you just want to kiss that slimey little face???!

This week Jordyn had the stomach flu so we were home and having no fun, thankfully now she seems to be out of the worst of it, but she is skin & bones. Even though she was sick she wanted to make silly faces for the camera, this is the one she calls her "gubble gubble" face. What a ham.

Avery always wants to do everything big sister does and be every where big sister is. Here they are playing on J's bed. It's so good to be sisters!

This big girl can climb up into the chair and climb back down out of it. She is also obsessed with crawling up stairs and walking around the house while she holds onto my fingers.

Jordyn almost never wears pants when we are at home. She really hates tham and usually has to be forced or bribed into them if we have to go somewhere. The minute we get home she strips them off again. I hope this is just a phase. She's a pretty cute underpants bandit wouldn't you say?
