Hunting for Christmas trees & a visit with Santa

Each year we head up to the woods to cut down a Christmas tree. Today was a beautiful day and fun was had by all. Not much snow on the ground yet so the girls had an easy time hiking around.

This one looks good.

MMMMMMM snow is yummy.

It's kinda crunchy too.

At last we found the perfect tree - the girls both helped to saw it down.

Daddy hauled it back through the woods to the truck.

Catching up

It seems I'm a little behind on the blog updates - here are the highlights from the past few weeks!

There was pumpkin carving.

Apparently Jordyn took the creation of her pumpkin's face very seriously.

Ave just liked to scoop the seeds out and then back in to the pumpkin.

We also got some pumpkin face stickers which were a big hit & much safer than the knife.

A Polar Bear & a Witch/Pirate off to school for a Halloween celebration.

The next day our Cousins came for trick-or-treating.

Pumpkin Patch!

Last week we took our annual trip to the Pumpkin Patch to choose our Halloween Pumpkins. Fun was had by all on a beautiful fall day.

Every year I take a picture of the kids in front of this sign - one of these years I'll put them all in an album ;)

The Pumpkin Patch also has all kinds of animals to see.

Now for the real work - finding the perfect Pumpkin - Jordyn took this job very seriously this year - I think Avery was a bit overwhelmed by all the choices.
