Pumpkin Patch

It was a beautiful, sunny, fall day today for our annual trip to Cottonwood Farm near Boulder for pumpkin picking.

First Snow of the year!

There was just enough snow for Jordyn and Trevor to make a teeny tiny snow man, that's a bottle cap hat he has on so you can tell how small he is.

This was the first time Avery was really old enough to walk around and play in the snow. She had a blast!

Jordyn, looking like a ski bum already. I'm thinking it won't be long till she wants her first snowboard . . .

I put together this little video, with the software that came with our camera. I have never done any video editing, so it is a bit ridiculous, but merely an experimental first attempt. . . now that I know how it works - look out!

Fall has fallen

Here is the scarecrow that Trevor and Jordyn made to decorate our front porch. Once it was finished Jordyn was too creeped out to go near it - but Avery and the scarecrow are best buddies.

Avery saw the cat lying on the floor and must have thought that looked like a good idea so she went ahead and laid down beside him.

Just a little cutie in her summer sunsuit - probably won't be wearing that again.

Jordyn got a ballet video from the library this week, which teaches some of the dances from the ballet, Sleeping Beauty, she put on her tutu and since she has no ballet slippers (yet) her dress-up heels and had me put a bun in her hair, "like a ballerina" and gave us quite a performance. This is the Songbird Fairy's solo. Unfortunately I used the camera that doesn't record sound; so you'll just have to imagine it with music. . .
