1st annual fairwell to summer backyard camp out

Before the warm weather is gone for the year we decided to have a backyard camp out, complete with tent, campfire & s'mores. Sarah & Piper joined us for a night of outside fun.

Avery loves the tent!

Jordyn & her BFF Piper, discuss the flavor profile of marshmallow

1st s'more ever - yummy!

Getting tired, not so sure she really wants to sleep in the tent though - after much back patting she finally dozed off around 10pm
Such FUN!

Fun!

Future Volunteer Cheerleaders??

Avery's hair has been hanging in her eyes lately so I took my brilliant friend Sarah's advice and put it in a pin curl - here is the adorable result.

We took a trip to Rocky Mountain National Park and drove over Trail Ridge Road to Grand Lake here are the girls wading in the chilly water.

Here we are on top of Trail Ridge Road

We stopped for a picnic lunch and I tried to get a decent shot of the 2 of them - this one's not half bad

And as usual, Avery clowning around with food all over her face. . .

Vacation

We took a vacation to spend a few days on the west slope with our cousins Camryn & Conner and to say good-bye to Pako (our grandpa) before he moves to Alaska.

Jordyn had so much fun with her cousin Camryn - she wanted to do everything Camryn did.

We went up on the Grand Mesa for the day, by a lake and while Daddy did some fishing Jordyn picked some wild flowers.

Avery looking cute in her sun hat.
