Avery's official 8 month photos

My plan was to have photos taken at 6 or 7 months like I did with Jordyn, but some how we didn't make it until 8 months. At least we made it.

A busy week

2 cutie booties hoppin' in to the tub; I've never seen anyone as excited about bathtime as Avery gets. She practically leaps out of my arms to get into the tub. Once in, she does her best imitation of a dolphin and nearly drowns herself on a regular basis. Bath time is no longer the time for mom to catch up on phone calls. Most nights I end up as wet as they are.

Poor Avery had a cold all week and she was rashy and snotty, but still sweet. She was also teething and at last on Friday that tiny first tooth poked through on the bottom. No wonder she wasn't eating or sleeping!



Glamorous

Trevor is doing his best to turn J into as big of a garden geek as he is. Here they are oggling his seed collection.

To my amazement Jordyn can already identify several types of seeds just by looking at them.

Lilja brought her fancy tea dress over to model for us, so of course this led to a full on dress up session. The striped socks really make both outfits in my opinion.

Avery is a crawling, climbing, cruising machine these days. Above she is cooking up some banana soup (a favorite here at our house!) And below she is trying to scale the book shelves in the dining room to reach the choke-able (i.e. fun) toys.

Last week we had a 70 degree day (in February) - we were off to the zoo.

Mom's latest obsession

Mommy has suddenly re-discovered her passion for crocheting and the result are these funny little gnome hats. Good thing we know a lot of kids, 'cause mom can't seem to stop herself!

Nana's birthday

We spent the day with Nana on her birthday this year and it was so much fun. It was a balmy 65 degree February day so we went out to the park and Nana even slid down the slide with Jordyn, then we came home and made her a yummy birthday dinner and a fancy lady cake. Hope you had as much fun as we did Nana we love you! Happy Birthday!!!!

7 months going on a year!

Avery continues to astound us with the amazing speed at which she is growing up. At 7 1/2 months she is already crawling all over the house & pulling up on everything within reach - I wouldn't be surprised if she starts walking before she ever sprouts a tooth! I think the main drive is wanting to keep up with big sister - that and her great grandfather, her grandfather and her uncle all walked at 8 months - Look out world here she comes!
